The converter uses a purely mechanical process — friction, heat, and sterilization — to turn waste into Converted Material (CM), a clean byproduct used as an industrial additive or fuel substitute. No chemicals, no incineration, and no high-pressure vessels involved.
CM’s BTU value determines its end use: high-BTU material substitutes for coal in industrial manufacturing, while low-BTU material becomes an additive in asphalt, cement, and drywall.
Every converter is manufactured in Italy and supported in Canada by CanConvert’s own installation, training, and service team.

Simple & Cost-Efficient Solution
On-site converters have a patented mechanical process that's simple to operate. Little or no need to sort, it takes waste breaks it down/shreds it, removes moisture and sterilizes it leaving a clean, inert byproduct -- Converted Material (CM). The CM has significantly less volume and weight than preprocessed waste thereby reducing the cost to have it removed and transported to landfill. Also helps mitigate future increases in costs for waste disposal.
Future Revenue Generation
The reduced environmental impact of deploying a converter with no greenhouse gases created means companies will be enabled to earn carbon credits. Also, the CM could eventually be sold for use as an industrial additive (asphalt, cement, drywall and other industrial materials) and as a fuel substitute for coal. This will also reduce and potentially eliminate the cost of sending waste to a landfill.
